              To Get "Logged On"

           to one of the workstations:

1.  Register at the information Desk.

2.  Determine whether you need assistance.

Assistance can be obtained on Thursdays from 12:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. by appointment.  Periodically classes will also be given, so check with the library staff and the local newspaper.

3.  Library staff will help you log in.

4.  To Launch Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, move the mouse pointer over the corresponding icon and double click with the left mouse button.

5.  Scroll through and read the text on our homepage.

If you see any underlined words (which are called hyperlinks") that seem a good source or path to what you need click on the words, by moving the mouse pointer over the words and clicking on them with the left mouse button.  If you leave the mouse pointer over the word or words, the cursor will change from an arrow to a pointing hand.  This is also a good way to discover hidden links, as sometimes just pictures themselves can be links.

6.  In order to print first notify the Internet  Volunteer at the circulation desk that you wish to print.  Next return to your station and either click on the printer icon with mouse button or click on file, then click on print, then click ok.  The internet volunteer will obtain your copies from the network printer and turn them in to the information desk for payment.

7.  When you our finished using the workstation make sure to checkout at the information desk and retrieve your library card and any printouts you have made.
